Privacy Notice

SignalForge is the data controller for Local Akron. We collect account credentials, business claim details, support messages, ZIP code, usage data, device identifiers, and IP address.

Why we use data

We use account and claim data to provide the service and perform our contract; security and usage data for legitimate interests in fraud prevention and improvement; and consent where required.

Who receives data

We share limited data with hosting, analytics, and support providers; professional advisers; authorities when legally required; Google Maps Platform for matched business photography and map links; and our payment provider for checkout, tax compliance, invoicing, fraud prevention, disputes, and refunds.

Google Maps content

Matched listing photos are requested from Google Maps when a page loads and are displayed with photographer and Google attribution. Local Akron stores identifiers and attribution needed to request and credit this content, but does not permanently store the Google photo files. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to Google content.

Retention and security

We keep data only while needed for the purposes described or legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use access controls, encryption, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, withdraw consent, or complain to the appropriate regulator. Requests may be made through the business claim form.

Local Akron uses essential cookies or local storage for accounts and security. Any analytics or marketing cookies will be subject to applicable consent requirements.
